Reach Ahead Activities
For all 3 SHSM Programs:
- Participate in workshops and seminars given by educational agencies
- Participate in excursions/tours given by guest speakers from industry & community partners
- Participate in Uni-Hopping or College Visits
- Participate in the YMCA exchange trip
- Attend Reach-Ahead trip outside of Toronto during March Break (New York/ Boston/ Chicago)
- Attend Ontario University and/or College Fair in October
- Attend a College/University Open House outside of the city of Toronto
For Biotech SHSM:
- Complete the Forensic Science Dual Credit Course offered by Seneca College/A.Y. Jackson S.S.
- Work with a professor in a college/university for your Science Fair Project
- Attend York University Gairdner Awards Symposium
- Attend University of Toronto Gairdner Awards Symposium
- Complete grade 12 Chemistry ISU “Work Place Tour” in a Health & Wellness Sector
- Participate in 5 Virtual Tours During The COVID-19 Pandemic (Proof Should Be Emailed To biotech.shsm@gmail.com)
- Attend the Ripley's Aquarium Field Trip
- Attend the University of Toronto Chemistry Scholars' Day
