Safe Food Handling

Safe food handling relates to the preparation and storage of food to prevent the spread of food-borne diseases. This includes avoiding physical contamination, chemical contamination, biological contamination, and more, by following strict food handling standards. Some of these standards consist of using hair nets and other protective equipment to reduce the risk of contamination from foreign objects (i.e. hair), minimizing the use of harmful chemicals like pesticides, and refrigerating food to curtail bacterial growth.
